Welcome to the Smart Materials and Structures (SMS) laboratory in the College of Mechanics and Materials, Hohai University. Our mission is to explore the functionalities (i.e., self-sensing, energy harvesting, corrosion detection, electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, etc.) of structural materials, which are not designed as functional materials. Our lab is designing, fabricating, and testing mechanical, physical, and electrochemical properties for various structural materials.
